Trauma-Informed Advising, Part Two (SAVIP, CAP & Reporting)

Part 2 of Trauma-Informed Advising will focus on services that are available to students who have been impacted by interpersonal violence (IPV), as well as those who may be in need of counseling services for reasons other than IPV. This session will include a review of Part 1, focusing on non-judgmental and compassionate support, as well as information on reporting responsibilities and options.

 

Gamecocks attending this series will be able to:

  1. Outline the process for referring students to SAVIP
  2. Describe the services available at Counseling & Psychiatry
  3. Assist students who have experienced interpersonal violence in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner
  4. Describe and implement the reporting process for interpersonal violence incidents and psychological distress
